Hallstatt Village, Austria

Hallstatt is a wonderful village situated in central Austria with gorgeous bank setting. It is located between the Lush Mountain and pristine lake. In the past the prosperity of the town was due to the salt mining. Its beautiful square is circled with ivy-covered buildings. In addition to its ancient history this village is incredibly picturesque because of its location on a rocky bank. It is considered as one of the most beautiful places in earth and it is called the Australian pearl, it is a great idea if you are wondering where to travel in Europe. The things that you should do here are to visit the salt caves, take a tour by boat on the lake, go hiking, rock climbing and visit the ice caves.

Colmar, France

This is Alsatian village where the bakeries sell both kugelhopf and croissants because of the German and French influences and also the specials of the restaurants are sauerkraut and foie grass. In the old town can be seen a range of architectural styles from French Neo-Baroque to German Gothic which were not destroyed during the World War II. This village is regarded as the most beautiful due to cobblestoned lanes, half-timbered houses and quiet canals.

Telč, Czech Republic

Small village in South Moravia known for its stretched main square, where the next building is more beautiful than previous due to the competition of the residents for who has the most beautiful house. The houses are characteristic because of theirs high gables Baroque and Renaissance style facades. This village has small shops and cafes, chateau and fish ponds. The square has characteristic appearance which was due to the catastrophic fire which destroyed a large area of the village

Cong Village, Ireland

It is a small pretty village but with a lot of history. It is located between Country Mayo and Galway-region with a lot of lakes and green pastures with sheep stands the picturesque village Congo. In Congo are numerous stone bridges a lot of rivers and cottages. It is known for the Ashford Castle, which is now a romantic luxurious hotel. This village has been a location for a lot of famous movies like Quiet Man; most of the scenes were filmed in the Ashford Castle.

Reine, Norway

Situated in the Lofoten archipelago, north of the Arctic Circle Reine has breathtaking wilderness. This village is popular for fishing and there a lot of comfortable cottages which have direct access to the Norwegian Sea are available for visitors. It’s a good place to watch the night sky, summers midnight sun and winters northern lights. With its red and white fishermen huts and surrounding granite shootings out it has the reputation as one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Gruyères Village, Switzerland

Not many know about this village in the upper valley of Saane River in Western Switzerland. This village is famous for its namesake cheese that melts well in fondue. The name given to this village was due to this delicious cheese. Its streets made of stone lead to the marvelous Gruyères Castle which has beautiful view on the Alpine mountain range. This village enchants people with its medieval architectural picturesque.
