A luxury train journey from Budapest to Teheran for 23.000 Euros

After a twelve day première luxury train journey, on Monday – 3.11.2014 this train has finished the trip in Teheran. Passing through the heart of Eastern Europe and Turkey as well this luxury train journey takes Western travellers on a journey through some remote places that are rarely experienced so far.

Seventy tourists, mainly Brits and Aussies have paid between 10.000 and 23.000 Euros to be a part of the first ride with the Persian Pearl. But, this money was not in vain, but the trip there was first class, with a five star service, including some quality free booze, except in Iran, where alcohol is forbidden.

Luxury Train Journey from Romania to Iran

For the upcoming 2015 – there are expected to be eight departures, four from Budapest and four from Teheran. There are several stops in Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Iran. The passengers can enjoy in a walk around the cities and learn something more about them. There is an organized trip through the cities that will get you the best of the place. You will get the opportunity to enjoy and feel the magic of: Budapest, Kecskemet (Hungary), Sighisoara & Brasov (Romania),  Veliko Tarnovo & Kazanlak (in Bulgaria), spend several days in different parts in Istanbul, Cappadocia and Van, Lake Van & Akdamar Island (in Turkey),  and proceed through Zanjan, Yazd – one of the oldest cities in the world, Isfahan – the tourist capital in Iran, and before ending the trip in Tehran you will have a stop in Shiraz & Persepolis.

After the election of their president Hasan Rohani in 2013 and thanks to his policies for opening this country to the West, the number of tourists has largely increased and till the end of this year is expected to raise up to 4.5 million according to the Iranian authorities. The Iran government thinks that this train route will bring about the tourism to develop here even more.

The government wants to develop a cultural tourism and make Iran a destination that will catch the eyes of the wealthy tourists only. If these expectations turn true, then starting 2015 and then on, there are expected to be up to 20 million tourists annually.
